Ganesh Indian Cuisine is located off State street in American Fork, close to the 500 East exit. It also has locations in Midvale and Park City. I personally have not been to these locations, so I can’t speak to their quality, but if they’re anything like the American Fork location, then they’re absolutely worth visiting. The outside of the restaurant might confuse you, because it will most likely remind you of a classic American diner, not a family-owned Indian restaurant, but don’t let that fool you, it is 100% Indian and 100% delicious. For anybody who’s looking for good, authentic, Indian food, this is the place to go.

The restaurant had more than enough seating, especially considering that it usually doesn’t have a lot of visitors. The decorations within the restaurant were modest, and all matched the Indian theme, although the restaurant itself seemed like it was designed originally for a different style. While it definitely wasn’t the fanciest restaurant we’ve been to, it did have a family-owned feel to it that made it rather cozy. The staff seemed pretty tight, with only a handful of servers, but were still able to give us plenty of attention. They were all very friendly and quick with their service. The only small complaint we had was the relatively long time it took to get our food, but our absolute love for the food when it came far outweighed any pain we had from waiting.

The menu of Ganesh Indian Cuisine was surprisingly varied, with all of your favorite Indian dishes with a wide variety of meats, offering even exotic options like goat as well as various types of seafood. The majority of the dishes come as a bowl of sauce with everything mixed then, and then a bowl or two of rice is given to the table to share. The food is varied, yet everything we’ve tried we’ve absolutely loved. I really can’t emphasize enough how much we love the food here. In addition to amazing flavor, the food has a wide range of spiciness, allowing anybody to be happy and comfortable. This way, nobody needs to be worried about the food being too spicy, which can often be a concern while eating Indian food.

Aside from the main dishes, there are a variety of a la carte options, mostly different types of naan, which are a must-have to add on to any other dishes.
As with all restaurants, I feel at least a little obligated to mention the prices. Ganesh Indian Cuisine was a little on the high side for the amount of food you got, but I still think the quality justified the price. That being said, expect to pay at least twelve dollars a person if you want a good meal. It’s not wildly expensive, nor would I consider it to be a cheap meal. Regardless of the price, it’s definitely still worth a trip, especially if you already love Indian food, or if you want to try something new.
