R&R bbq is an up and coming very popular restaurant that is spreading fast in Utah. There are many different locations, but the most accessible and less busy, is found at the Riverwoods in Provo, Utah. If you enjoy good bbq, this is the place for you! I have had Texas bbq as well as several world famous bbq places, and I can honestly say that R&R bbq competes well. It isn’t as good as Texas bbq, but it is awfully close.

R&R bbq has a huge menu! If you happen to have the app called hooked, definitely download it and get the buy one, get one free meal with it. R&R is not expensive, but it isn’t cheap either. It is a good deal for what you get, but it can still be a bit of money. Therefore, hooked allows a great deal to come with purchasing your order. R&R has the option to create your own style of meal, or you can choose from the chef favorites. It works very similar to subway where you walk through and choose your meats and vegetables. However, I just chose a chef favorite and added corn to my meal.

While you are ordering your food, the cooks actually bbq the meat in front of you! They chop the amount of pork, steak, chicken, or ribs, and then they bbq it right there. You can choose the sauces you want, however they include many sauces on the table already.

I ordered the pork with macaroni and corn and it was absolutely amazing! Because of the hooked deal, we got free apple pie for desert too. My husband ordered the steak with hushpuppies and macaroni which was also delicious.

If I were to go again soon, I would definitely suggest the macaroni, hushpuppies, and the pork. The macaroni is fresh and cheesy, and super good. Sometimes there are bits of bacon in it too which make it taste very good. The corn was alright, but I am not a big corn fan. The hushpuppies were amazing and very soft with crunchy outsides. The pork was probably my favorite. The bbq sauce was delicious and the pork was so tender. Unfortunately, R&R only gives small portions of pork and they leave you wanting more. But they also include it in a sandwich which makes the pork even better. The apple pie is incredible with the sweet vanilla ice cream. It literally melts in your mouth and tastes just like grandmas homemade apple pie.

Lots of families come to R&R and kids love the macaroni for dinner. I would definitely suggest R&R for everyone. It is very family friendly and has food to everyone. It can be busy at times, but just make sure to reserve a spot beforehand or show up just before dinner or lunch time. There are many locations in Utah, but Provo has the best location by far from what I have seen.
