The Blue Line Deli is located on the campus of Brigham Young University in Provo, in the N. Eldon Tanner Building, on the first floor. If you enter into through the Southwest door, you can’t miss it. Although the Blue Line is located on BYU campus, anybody can go there, not just BYU students. Because it caters to students, the food is cheap and quick, but still surprisingly delicious.

The Blue Line is an absolutely phenomenal place to go for a quick lunch or a big breakfast, but the only trouble is finding somewhere to park. The parking surrounding the Tanner Building requires a BYU parking permit during the hours that the Blue Line is open, making it a little difficult to park close. The closest open parking that we know of would be the Wendy’s off Bulldog near BYU campus, which is only about a 10-minute walk. So, if you’re looking for a cheap, quick, but still quality meal and don’t mind walking a bit, the Blue Line is the place to go.
The staff at Blue Line are all BYU students, which are generally very friendly and helpful.

This does mean, however, you’ll get the occasional cashier more concerned about their phone than the customers, but usually the service is great and quick. Because this is on BYU campus, all students can get a discount (equivalent to the cost of sales tax) when they pay with “Cougar Cash” (BYU’s online payment program associated with meal plans).
The Blue Line Deli has both “hot” and “cold” food sections, making it most comparable to a small convenience store. In the cold food section, you can find lots of food good for a quick breakfast, like yogurt, granola bars, fruits, and other similar items. This section is nothing special, but it can still provide a nice addition to anything you can get in the hot section. There are a variety of breakfast options, including omelets, quesadillas, breakfast burritos, and oatmeal, all geared towards giving students enough energy to stay awake through class (or fall comfortably asleep on full stomachs).

These options are some of the best deals you can find as far as food-to-dollar ratios go, and they’re still delicious, with enough variety in salsas and flavors to keep you coming back.
For lunch, they offer sub 6- or 8-inch hot sub sandwiches, which, although lacking in variety compared to other sandwich shops, surpass others in taste and cost. They also offer Café Rio-like salads, which are just as big, just as good, and still cheaper than Café Rio and Costa Vida. They also provide a variety of soups, which vary from time to time. In addition to these options and others, they have daily specials, once again allowing each visit to Blue Line to be unique and high-quality.
