Antoitos is a fast food restaurant found on Brigham Young University’s campus in Provo, Utah. It is located right next to the Blue Line deli in the Tanner Building. Just because it is found at Brigham Young University, that does not mean it is only for students. It is actually for everyone! It is cheaper as well since there is no tax at BYU food places.

Antoitos is very similar to Café Rio and Costa Vida. They sell enchiladas, salads, and tacos. My absolute favorite item, as well as most of Brigham Young University’s campus, is the salad! This salad is super fresh and made right in front of you just like at Café Rio and Costa Vida. There is a massive sign with a green logo on it to show you where the line starts for Antoitos.

This fast food restaurant is literally next to the Blue Line and often times, people confuse the two lines because both places are super good and super close to each other.

The staff was amazing! I had never been, and was confused on which line to wait in since the two lines can be confusing especially with a lot of people waiting for food. I only had to wait in line for 3-4 minutes at most, and then I was able to tell the staff members my order. They were very patient as I thought about what I wanted to eat. They recommended the salad since it is the most popular item to order. I didn’t know what was all included in the salad, but I decided to go with it. The staff members had my salad ready in less than a minute! They asked what kind of meat I wanted, and I picked chicken. There was also steak, or ground beef to choose from as well. I then ordered rice, black beans (or you could choose baked beans). They then put on fresh lettuce, and I could choose three of four different toppings to put on top of the salad. I chose salsa, guacamole, and pico de gallo out of the fourth option which was a spicy sauce.

The salad was amazing! As mentioned earlier, the salad is very similar to Café Rio and Costa Vida. It is quite big, I was full for the rest of the day and ate my salad around 1pm. It is super delicious too and tastes very similar to Café Rio and Costa Vida. The only difference is the sauce that gets put on top of the salad. Its not the house dressing or the sweet and sour one, but one made specifically by Antoitos. It is pink and has a slight hint of spice in it. It still tastes great, but that is the only part that isn’t as good as Café Rio and Costa Vida.

There are lots of spaces to sit at including some “bar stool” areas, large booths, and round tables. Often times, it is hard to find a spot, but I suggest going a little after noon to get a spot to eat. Or you can always enjoy outside!
