The Rollup

The Rollup is a super delicious deserts and crepes restaurant found in Provo, Utah! This restaurant has been around for quite some time, and you cant find any place like it! Not only are there delicious deserts, but there are scrumptious foods and meals as well, which is a new addition to the menu.

The Rollup is characterized by its giant owl mascot. When you open the entrance doors, this massive owl greets you as you walk it. It is completely made from clay and is the size from the floor to the ceiling of the room. It is awesome for photos and looks super cool. I remember it being at the previous location it was at before, so I believe it is the same owl that has been around for a long time. Besides the owl, there is a small stage where bands and singers perform on weekends and evenings for paying customers.

There are also “floating” chairs in which two people can relax and spin around in. The rest of the restaurant is decorated by fancy lightings on trees, gazebos, and newspaper laminated chairs. This unique atmosphere is just a bunch of random décor, but it all blends together well.

I really liked sitting in the back behind the gazebo. There are super comfy chairs that are vintage and sit next to the glowing trees. The gazebo itself is also cool, it almost provides an outdoor experience for visitors indoors. The menu is even more creative though!

The menu is probably my favorite aspect about the Rollup though. The menu is full of “dating” language for each of their menu items and deserts. You can choose from a selection of crepes or paninis like the “Girl Next Door”, “Wingman”, “Love on the Run”, “Oh my Darlin”, “Heartthrob”, “Mr. Wright”, and “Hot Mess.”

These are all varieties of healthier lunch and dinner options and are full meals. You can also choose to order soups and salads.

The deserts are the best though! Each crepe does not disappoint. These names are also very creative: “Secret Admirer”, “True Love”, “Breakup”, “Bachelorette”, “Blind Date”, “Single”, “Tinder”, and “Summer Fling.” There are may more to choose from, but essentially each crepe has the same basic elements with different designs and flavors. My absolute favorite is the “Bachelorette.” This crepe has white chocolate, raspberries, whipped cream, and berry sauce. The crepe is stuffed super full so each bite is a burst of flavor and goodness! My husband ordered “Moving on” which was cream, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and berry sauce. This one was still pretty good, but it didn’t have as much flavor and taste as the bachelorette. This one was a lot more crepe, and lot less sauce. It was still delicious, but we both enjoyed the “Bachelorette” more. Besides crepes, you can also order latte’s, milkshakes, and sodas.

There is quite literally a desert option for everyone! I highly recommend the Rollup. I have been several times and I am never disappointed. The staff are very friendly and have phenomenal recommendations and photos of the food around the walls to help you order.
