Destination Sports Tubing is a rare treasure find in Utah. Many people are super adventurous and can only find ziplining and canopy-like tours in Utah, but Destination Sports, brings a whole new meaning to adventurous in Utah.
Even for those who are not adrenaline junkies, Destination Sports is for everyone. You can choose to raft, float, or tube down the river in Park City. I chose to tube down the river which was awesome, but floating and rafting also looked equally fun.

When you plan your trip with Destination Sports, be sure to call several weeks ahead of time as slots fill fast. The best time to go is in August, since that is the warmest the river in Park City, Utah will be. I originally planned to go tubing in June, but the water levels were too high and dangerous, the temperature was also way too cold and even though it was summer, the water was still too cold. By August, the water temperature goes up a good 20 degrees which makes all difference in high altitude places.
The people who work at Destination Sports are the best!

They are super friendly and work with you to make sure that everyone can go on the same trip together in your group. They are also very moderate and understanding of personal preferences and will send reminders to your group several weeks, days, and even hours before your trip so that you dont forget. I really appreciated when they called to tell me that tubing in June would be too cold and changed my reservation for free, even though the groupon would expire, to August with no charges or anything. They also help give instructions so that everyone has a safe and fun experience on the river together. I came with a group of 4 friends, and we ended up with another group of 15, but it was an absolute blast.

The river is gorgeous and you actually see a ton of wildlife and beautiful plants and greenery while you are on the river. The river passes through 2 different farms, and goes through a mountain passage way which allows you to see deer and elk if you look closely enough. You spend more of your time in the sun, but there are some shady coverages provided by trees. The river can be calm at times, but it will pick up pace and turn to white water rapids, so definitely make sure that you are not afraid of the water or getting wet sine you will 110% guarantee get wet. I never fell out of my tube, but all of my friends did at some point, so you will get soaked at one time or another.

I am not sure what actual pricing is for Destination Sports, but I do know that with a groupon, it comes to around $19 per person, but it is a 5 hour trip minimum. Depending on how fast or slow you go, the trip definitely can be between 3-5 hours. I recommend to anyone! If you come with smaller kids, be sure to either have life jackets or go all together on a bigger raft so that you dont have to worry as much about smaller children.
