If you have ever been to Bear Lake, you know that the number one thing about Bear Lake (besides the lake) are the raspberry shakes! These shakes are made from the freshly growing raspberries all around the lake and are handcrafted to perfection. They are so delicious, that nearly every restaurant and food truck at Bear Lake sells them.

Bear Lake is located on the border of Utah and Idaho (it actually sits on the border) near Garden City, Utah. It is a gorgeous drive up the canyon until you reach the plateau, where you come out on the road that opens up directly to the lake. The lake is absolutely huge. You cant even see from one end of the lake to the other. The main, more central part of Bear Lake that is more popular, is found right at the entrance to Garden City. The drive down to the entrance of the lake is also the main area of Garden City. Any events like Raspberry Days, take place here. It is also where most of the lodges, air bnb’s, and hotels are.
Raspberry Days, as is mentioned in another article, is a huge end of summer celebration with the fresh raspberries growing around the lake. Most of the restaurants and shops around the area sell raspberry shakes, as it is a beloved product. One of the more common places to buy raspberry shakes, is at Quick N Tasty.

As soon as you head down the road on the entrance to the lake, you wont be able to go down any further, and you must turn left or right. If you turn left, you will see a giant wagon with “Famous Raspberry Shakes” written on it. You will also see a small line of people taking photos with their shakes. This is Quick N Tasty. It is super hard to see the sign for it, since it is a smaller place to eat, but it is the fastest service and the best shake around Bear Lake. Across from Quick N Tasty, there are several other competitors. I can guarantee you, Ephraim’s and the Lualia’s are much more expensive and you will wait up to an hour just for a raspberry shake. In terms of food, Ephraim’s is probably better tasting then Quick N Tasty, mostly just because Quick N Tasty specializes in shakes, while Ephraim’s specializes in burgers and fries. If you are just wanting a shake, I would suggest Quick N Tasty. You will wait a maximum of three minutes, unless its super crazy and busy (which is not often).

The service is fast and they are friendly. Some of the nicest people live in Bear Lake year round and operate small businesses like Quick N Tasty to make money. One of the servers who brought us our shakes saw that we were trying ot take a picture with the wagon, and she stopped what she was doing to take a good picture of us, and with our shakes. Not only is the customer service great, but the shakes are amazing as well! If you happen to be allergic to raspberry shakes, or dont like raspberries, they have 20 other flavorings and options you can get as well.
