Last Course is exactly how it sounds! The last course of your meal, being desert, should be super yummy and memorable which is exactly what Last Course aims to create. The Last Course is a desert and ice cream specialty that is brand new in American Fork and Salt Lake City, Utah. These two locations aren’t more than just a few months old and are widely popular now.

Full warning: everything here is super delicious and very filling but totally worth it! There are deserts here to satisfy anyone’s taste buds. From chocolate lovers, to sweet tarts, to horchata lovers, and to fruity lovers, there is enough desert options available for all!

Last Course is easily found in a mini mall area. The gigantic lettering and tall tower structure stands out from all of the other little businesses present. When you first walk in, you are greeted by the sweet smell of sugar and baked goods. Everything at Last Course is made fully at Last Course, and it is fresh and hot, ready to go. Dozens of tables and chairs face the photos on the back wall where you can see what each menu item looks like. On the opposite side is where the ice cream parlor and the desert parlor are. Many people order ice cream, but the deserts are what most people come for. You can try free samples of ice cream while you wait in line to decide. I ordered the chocolate brownie bomb, and my husband ordered the Tortachunga.

We waited for about 7 or 8 minutes and then our food was ready. The staff was very quick and very friendly. I actually have a friend who works there, and she was able to give us a discount on our deserts. Each desert runs around $8 or $9. The deserts are made and decorated with very high quality. They literally look like professional deserts. The deserts are also very big. I probably will order one to share with my husband next time I go because it was so big.

The chocolate brownie bomb was amazing! Being a chocolate lover, the chocolate brownie bomb is entirely chocolate. There is hot chocolate fudge that covers the bottom plate with a giant chocolate ball in the center. The chocolate ball is also covered in hot chocolate fudge and then sprinkled with white chocolate flakes. As you cut into the chocolate ball, it is smooth, rich, and creamy. It is like cutting into butter! The chocolate blends in with the whipped cream and the brownie part in your mouth. This is the most popular item to order.

The Tortachunga is also good! I didn’t enjoy this one as much, but it is essentially two giant crepes with fruit and horchata ice cream. For a non chocolate lover, this is perfect to order. To commemorate your visit to Last Course, you get a rewards card that allows you to get free ice cream after 10 visits. There is also a fun wall, decorative wall with the name and logo on it to take selfies with to post about your experience.
