If you do not enjoy skiing or snowboarding, but still want a great way to experience the snow and be outdoors, snowshoeing is perfect for you! Even if you have never been snowshoeing before, Kohler Creamery has the perfect experience for all levels of snowshoe people. Kohler Creamery is in Midway/Heber area in Utah. It is a quiet little area with a bunch of small towns and open space. The creamery stands out with its bright red barn and giant letters.

The lady who took us on the snowshoeing tour was the absolute best! She was easy to find to check in and was so friendly! She helped everyone find the right size snowshoe (if they were renting) and helped to get the right pole size to help with the snowshoe tour. I recently bought my own snowshoes because I love it so much and go almost every weekend, but for those who don’t own a pair of snowshoes, Kohler has several pairs open for renting. It took about 10 minutes to get everyone situated and used to their snowshoes. The lady who led the tour was super awesome and explained how to walk in them, use the poles correctly, and how to take them off if your knees start to hurt.

The tour started just outside the red barn. It was mostly flat ground that we snowshoed on. The trail was around the farm which was actually really cool! We got to walk through a hot springs stream that the animals would drink out of. Several horses came super close to us and we got to snowshoes through their pasture. There were a few scenic spots that were fun to travel and see. The iconic bridge over the stream with the mountains and snowy pasture in the back was beautiful. We got to snowshoe on through past another barn and actually pet some cows! The tour lady told us about the new robotics system that the farm uses to milk their cows and keep the farm clean. It was cool to see some of the outdoor robotics at work. We continued on to a smaller hill that was fun to snowshoe over.

One of my favorite parts was travelling over the wooden bridge. This one was bigger than the first one and actually took us straight over a fast paced river which was cool to see. We went around a small orchard where the cows graze after the snow melts. Then we looped back to the bridge and crossed over back to the barn. It was an overall really fun experience! There was lots of beautiful scenery and the tour lady kept everyone together and explained some of the history of the farm as well as plans to expand and improve the farm. It was an easy trail, anyone could do it. It took about an hour, unless you stop a lot to take photos. I highly recommend for anyone and everyone, especially families looking to get outdoors more!
