Kohler Creamery

Kohler Creamery is one of the best places to go to enjoy freshly made ice cream and hot hamburgers! Kohler Creamery is in Midway/Heber Utah. It is a giant red barn looking place, that also has a giant outlet that is red like the barn. It is impossible to miss! The creamery is found right off the highway and near the ice castles and Hot Springs.

Kohler Creamery offers a variety of things to do besides eating. There is a fantastic snowshoeing tour for anyone and everyone. In the spring, they have tours of the farm available especially with the new robotics system that has been placed inside the farm to help increase efficiency and production. In the spring time, they have scavenger hunts, mazes, and outdoor ziplining through the fields that the cows and horses graze on. During the fall, there are corn mazes to adventure through. Besides this, the food is incredible! Kohler Creamery makes all of their food right there on the farm. Their pride and joy is certainly the cheeses that they are most well known for. Ice cream is probably the second best food item that they are known for followed by grilled cheese sandwiches.

When you walk into the creamery, there are rows and rows of cheese! It is overwhelming at first, because the smell is super strong, but it looks good and tastes amazing! You can sample the cheeses and then opt to buy the homemade cheeses. Among these options are fresh curd, cheddar, queso fresco, Monterey pepper jack, parmesan, swiss, or juustoleipa. Besides the cheese, the fridge is stocked full of refrigerated milk. This milk is fresh from the cows and super delicious. I also love how the milk is in fancy old fashioned milk containers. The ice cream and frozen yogurt is my absolute favorite though! Freshly made right on the farm, there are over 20 options to choose from. All flavors are super creamy and rich. Its around $4 for one scoop of ice cream, but it is super worth it! My favorite flavors were the chocolate and cookies and cream ice cream flavors. More natural flavors like raspberry and strawberry also taste super good too.

Kohler Creamery is also known for its homemade grilled cheese sandwich. These sandwiches come hot and ready to eat. I haven’t tried the grilled cheese sandwiches yet, but my friends who all got one, loved it! They said it was one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches they have ever had. No matter what, you cant go wrong. Lastly, Kohler sells homemade jams. Around the corner from the entrance, you can see the rows and rows of jams available for purchase. I also didn’t get an opportunity to taste the jams because the lines were super long. But, I have heard great things about the jams.
