This event was pretty cool. I do have to warn though, this is not your traditional circus. This circus has been working on modernizing to keep the attention and demand of people. It is still a blast and I totally recommend it for anyone, and especially kids. I found a great deal on groupon, tickets were only $9 per person. I know some people got their tickets on Eventbrite, but I am not sure how much they were. This circus travels around Utah. I went to the one up in Layton/Ogden area, but they also come down to Tooele and Sandy. I would check their website or facebook to see when and where the next circus is. The circus started at 3 on a Saturday and was 2 hours. They did start a little late (around 3:15), and there was a 35 minute intermission. We ended up leaving the arena around 5:30.

Before, during, and after the circus, you can pay extra tickets to ride an elephant, take a photo with dogs, ride the ponies, and get your face painted. My husband and I were able to walk around before the circus started and during intermission to get close to the elephant, dogs, and ponies so that we didn’t have to pay for the photos.

This circus started out traditional in the fact that tigers were performing and doing tricks. Elephants performed and did some tricks, and there were two clowns. However, the clowns didn’t look like clowns. They were very toned down and were more of joke tellers and magicians. The trapeze artists also didn’t do very many trapeze tricks. It was very apparent that they were beginning or rookie artists. They were still cool to watch, but they weren’t coordinated and only did a few tricks.

A new feature to the circus was the transforming car. This was probably the highlight of the circus. They rolled out a brand new yellow camaro into the arena. After getting to the middle, the car transformed into Bee. Everyone was super amazed to see it. It actually looks like Bee. It even moved around a little bit and would blink its eyes.

The dogs did a little mini show of tricks which was pretty cool. Lots of high jumps and flips. There was a juggler who was pretty good! But for the most part, that was the entire circus. It is still fun, but just be cautious that it isn’t a Barnum and Bailey or Ringling Brothers circus. I think over time, Jordan World circus will improve and get better. It is a great experience if you have never been to the circus or want to take your kids to the circus for the first time. Just be aware that it isn’t as great as Ringling Brothers. Concessions are all over the circus like normal, and there was actually extra emphasis on buying blinky lights, popcorn, cotton candy, pretzels, hot dogs, pixie sticks, and snow cones. We got there early to find parking, but there were plenty of front row seats getting there right on time.
