The Home and Garden Show is fun three day event that is all about home and garden décor and products. This show is hosted by Mountain America and takes place at the Mountain America Exposition Center in Sandy, UT.

The Home and Garden Show is super interesting to walk around in! This is one of the largest shows to take place in the Mountain America Exposition Center. Most other shows happen the same weekends as two to three other shows hosted alongside with them. The Home and Garden Show however, is unique and takes place solely by itself.

To imagine the size and grandeur of the Home and Garden Show, it takes up 8 conference center rooms in the center of the Exposition Center. If you are walking through pretty quickly just glancing at products and services, it will take you about two hours to walk through the entire thing. If you stop to talk with sales representatives, play games, watch demonstration shows, or enter to win contests, the show can take up to six hours to get through the entire show! Nonetheless, this show is awesome and lots of cool products are available for purchase to get your house and garden ready for summer.

My favorite part of the home and garden show was seeing all of the beautiful outdoor products and designs for gardens and landscapes. The back corner of the Home and Garden Show is completely filled with plants, waterfalls, rocks, pathways, lights, and even statues!

Some sales people are nearby to talk about options for your garden or landscapes, as well as show other options of what people nearby have done. There are also payment plans and new technologies to examine that can make your garden and landscape even better! The biggest waterfall I saw, you walked along the rocky, sandy path to a giant circular area. There were LED lights all around that could be white or multicolored. Trees and bushes were decorated along side the circular design and at the top of the circle, opposite the entrance, was the giant waterfall that as at least six feet tall. Some mini statues of fairies and wildlife were placed along side the water trickling down as well as partially hidden by the bushes and trees.

I also really enjoyed the spa show portion for the backyard. There was a demonstration of the hot tub that you could put in your backyard that is big enough for an entire family to use as well as for one person to swim laps with the setting of “pool”. You would probably recognize this hot tub from commercials of Michael Phelps endorsing it, showing it is a great swimming workout to have. There were also other features including the “spa massager” and the “relaxation” setting.

Lastly, the cabana show was awesome too! The sales representatives gave out free samples of pina coladas if you sat in their cabana area and listened to them explain the installation process in your yard. It truly felt like being on the beach for a second! I highly recommend this show to all ages, it is fun to walk through and try out new things even if you are not interested in buying anything.
