Fong Asian Dining is located in American Fork off the 500 East exit near State street. It’s a small location next to a bunch of other businesses, so it can be easy to miss, but as long as you turn into the business complex with the Starbucks on the corner, Fong Asian Dining should be easy enough to find.

The restaurant itself is quite small, but cozy, with plenty of decorations to create an Asian atmosphere akin to most Asian restaurants you can find in the U.S., like bamboo paintings, Buddha statues, and things of that nature. They also had the smallest soy sauce bottles we had ever seen, which seemed straight out of a dollhouse, and were just plain adorable. The restaurant was very clean and well-kept, which is always nice to see even when the restaurant is busy.
We first found out about Fong Asian Dining through one of their ads in the mail, which came with a discount. We noticed that they have a lot of special offers, plus daily specials, so before planning to go out to eat, check out their website to see what offers you can get and check out their menu. In addition to the restaurant, they also deliver, allowing people in American Fork to experience the stereotypical inner-city late-night meal of Chinese delivery, just as if we lived in Manhattan.

And, like most Asian restaurants we’ve been to, there was plenty of take-out going on. Fong Asian Dining definitely provides an easy way for a cheap, but still quality, Chinese meal.
The staff at Fong Asian Dining were all very nice and friendly, although they were a little slow taking our orders and getting our drinks. We were, however, there on a busy night on their opening week, so it’s understandable that things were a little slower than normal, yet they were still able to seat us right away. Either way, we weren’t upset with the wait time, and the staff were very aware of the wait and were apologetic with frequent check-ins from multiple waiters. While the staff were mostly rather young, they were surprisingly knowledgeable and professional.
The food was good, although it wasn’t anything special or of unusually high quality.

The value, however, made the meal definitely worth the visit. The most common dish ordered (guessing by other tables), was the bento box, which came with a good amount of food for relatively cheap with a variety of options to choose from when ordering your own bento box. You could even get a couple of pieces of sushi as a side dish, which, while not having any uncommon options, was surprisingly good. For the price, the bento box was definitely worth it, and enough to keep each of us full with our own box. There were also plenty of other options that you would normally find at a Chinese restaurant in the U.S., which judging by the bento boxes we got, would have been pretty delicious.
