Wasatch Park Tubing

If you aren’t a big fan of the snow, or skiing, or snowboarding, then Wasatch Park is the place for you! Snow Tubing gives you minimal contact with the snow, but allows you to experience the general thrill of the snow, without getting cold and wet. You still want to dress warmly because you are outside, but the tubes are pretty massive and allow adequate protection from the snow. My entire family is not big snow people, and yet they all love snow tubing because it allows a nice way to enjoy the snow in a safer environment.

If you have ever been down the alpine slides, it is a similar experience. Wasatch Park is located in Eden (where Nordic Valley Ski Resort is). It is just north of ogden between two mountain ranges. The snow tubing is literally right next to the Nordic Valley Ski Resort, where you can ski if you don’t want to snow tube or vice versa.
You can purchase tickets ahead of time online, or you can show up and but tickets. I went right after skiing and there was no one there. I literally had the entire snow tubing hill to myself. They are open 11-5 on Saturdays and 10-4 on Sundays. If you turn right instead of going straight to the ski lodge, you will park at the bottom of the snow tubing hill. Climb up the hill of snow, and the tickets office and check in is on the left side of the hill. This hill is often very slippery. I would suggest wearing some strong boots to help get up to the tickets office.

When we bought our tickets, there was literally no one there. We had the entire hill to ourselves which was awesome! It can be fun with other people, but mostly this means you can go up and down the snow tubing hill without waiting which is nice.
The staff was super friendly and awesome. The lady who helped us with her tickets was on the phone when we got to her and she hung up immediately to help us check in for our snow tubing experience. She was very nice and showed us to where we got on the lift to get to the top of the hill.

There was awesome staff members who helped us onto the ski lift that took us to the top of the hill where we would snow tube down. The hill is massive! Essentially, you are snow tubing down the other side of the ski resort. The trail is a giant S curve and brings you all the way down to the bottom of the ski lift. However, they have this cool escalator like feature that allows you to pull your snowtube with you while you stand and slowly move up the hill back to the top. When I went, it had just finished raining and the water had frozen so it was way slick. I actually went down the hill super fast because of how slippery the slope was.
This was an amazing experience and I also recommend skiing if you enjoy that as well!
