Provo Rec Center is located in Provo, Utah. It is pretty close to BYU campus. This recreation center is honestly the nicest recreation center I have ever been too. This is even including Lifetime Fitness and places similar to that. Provo Rec Center has so much to offer! My favorite things to do are the fitness classes, swim in the multiple pools, and exercise on the workout machines.

The fitness classes are fantastic! I used to only attend yoga, but then I slowly starting attending more and more classes to try them out. I highly recommend the yoga classes at 4 or 5 on Mondays and Wednesdays. The instructor is super nice and plans out an amazing yoga session for all levels to get a good stretch and sometimes sweat. I also really love the pilates classes. Being a dancer, I have to do extra time strengthening my back and arms. Pilates is a great way to do this. The pilates instructors are also super awesome about working every major muscle group and I have never been to the same pilates class twice. Its always different. Barre is also super fun. This class I always end up sore for 2-3 days.

This class starts out with all arm muscle workouts and then turns to legs and then abs. I have been to HIIT, cycling, and P90X at least once, if not twice, but these classes are always super full. I would recommend getting there early for a spot. Provo Rec also allows members to reserve their spot online or through the app that they produced which is nice, but I have not tried that yet. These classes are still fun, but they are a lot more exhausting. I know Provo Rec offers more like Silver Sneakers for retired and older people, water aerobics of all kinds. In the summer, they actually offer an outdoor paddleboard yoga class! The fitness class schedule is online to see at any time.

The pools are amazing here. I used to lifeguard and teach swim lessons, and I absolutely love the way these pools are made for use compared to other pools I have worked out. There is a small section for water basketball/swim lessons, a lazy river (with bubbles and a jacuzzi section), a diving board, in water rock wall climbing section, 2 super fast slides, a hot tub, and a kiddie play area with mini slides, water jets, wheels to turn and water features. This is all just one room! The room next door has a huge lap lane pool. This pool is designed for those who just want to swim laps. Often times, swim teams meet here as well as the Masters Swim Team which anyone can join. Lastly, the outdoor pool is open in the summer. It has a massive wave pool, a kiddie pool and play area, and two outdoor water slides.
This rec center has 3 fitness rooms, bikes, ellipticals, treadmills, weights, and stair climbers. I don’t actually think I have been on all of the machines that are offered, but every machine comes with a tv that can charge your phone while you work out. You can also choose to watch Netflix, channels, or play games on the tvs while you work out. For moms or dads with kids, there are two play areas where you can drop your kids off to workout. This is my favorite recreation center, and I go almost everyday because of how much is offered, how clean it is, and how amazing the staff are.
