The University Place Mall in Provo, Utah holds one of the best Christmas Secrets of all time. You have to search for this secret, and its only found after walking all the way through the mall. You will see Santa’s workshop half way through the mall, which is super fun, but don’t stop there! You will pass Christmas concerts playing, but that still isn’t your final destination. Once you have hit the end of the mall, go outside and you have found it!

Lite Brite Night is exactly as it sounds. It is a giant outdoors Lite Brite toy for all ages to come and play. The huge toy is over 6 feet tall and it actually works! On the cement floor, is a big box full of the Lite Brite kegs, except massive sized! The Lite Brite kegs are about as big as a child’s hand. They are light-weight and very colorful. After completing a design with the Lite Brite pegs, there are cookies and hot chocolate to enjoy for free!

This is not all! All around the outdoors park area in the middle of the mall, there are dozens of Christmas trees all lit up! You can walk into the center of the trees and witness the lights changing colors. Some trees are miniature sized, and are good for children to walk into, and others are over 8 feet tall. In the center of the park area, is the biggest Christmas tree of all! It as over 15 feet high and the lights change colors and dance to the music playing all around.

Another cool thing to do, is to create light up colorful igloos. There are huge pieces of shapes all around the park to build a big colorful igloo. Most of the shapes are quarts of a circle. They change colors every several minutes. There are also big colorful balls to kick around. They change colors with every kick. The are pretty big, about the size of a regular sized child.

At the very end of the park, is the coolest thing yet, a color and water show! Listen carefully for the music to play and run straight over so you don’t miss it! The small pond has several lights inside and water jets for a show. As the music plays, the water dances. Words cannot even describe how amazing this show is. The water shoots up higher than the nearest tower and there are even water explosions. Water twists upwards, fans out, and explodes in between dancing to the music. It is not to be missed!

But if that isn’t enough lights for one night, be sure to walk through the tunnels of light. They change colors as you walk or run through them. Some kids kick a ball through them and play soccer to watch the colors change with the passing of objects through them. On your way home, be sure to stop by to see Santa at Santa’s Workshop in the mall! Lite Brite Night is only on Thursdays from 6-8pm.
