Geneva Puppy Barn Grand Opening

Geneva is located near Provo, Utah. It is an up and coming area that is filled with fun things to do. Top Golf, a newer company, is located here as well as several other new businesses. Most recently, there was a grand opening for the Geneva Megaplex theater and shopping mall. The shopping mall sits directly West of the movie theater. Many small businesses as well as business chains are developed and moving in. This provides a great experience for Geneva stores as well as a great experience for people who come to see movies! What better way to extend your evening out after a movie.

This grand opening event was all day Saturday and was hosted by Puppy Barn. The event started out with a ribbon cutting ceremony and pictures with the mayor and giant scissors. There was lots of free muffins, bananas, water, and candy to celebrate this momentous event. Puppy Barn as the host, also allowed everyone to pet, play, and hold puppies for free as well! If you aren’t familiar, Puppy Barn is located all over Utah. They provide a chance for anyone and everyone to pay $1 to sit, play, and hold brand new puppies. One of these locations is in the mall directly west of the movie theater at Geneva. They have a huge room full of circular pens where many different types of puppies sleep and eat until someone comes to play with them. If you desire, you can also purchase a puppy to take home. It is actually encouraged to buy a puppy when you come, because otherwise, the puppies stay at Puppy Barn until someone else comes to buy them.

Once you are done playing with puppies, head across the street to the RocketFizz candy and toy shop! This shop is awesome! It is an interesting combination of toys and candy all in one. Just the name itself is exactly how it sounds. If you have ever been to toys and candy shops in the mall that all have funny sounding names (especially in Boulder, CO) this store is very similar to those. This store is a great way to keep kids entertained for awhile while you purchase movie tickets or order food nearby. It is also great to kill some time before waiting for a movie or something like that.

Next door is the Brookers Ice Cream shop.

This shop is super cute! The employees all dress up as old colonial times and even the ice cream names are old colonial names. I cant remember how much they charge for ice cream, but it is fun just to walk inside and be in the atmosphere of the ice cream shop. They have tons of flavors and combinations to try as well. If you are big into Japanese and Sushi, a brand new restaurant just opened up at the shopping area. It was super crowded the entire two hours I was there so I did not see pricing or anything but I assume its pretty good since it was crowded! Chubbys is supposed to open up on the corner in a few weeks once construction is done on the interiors. Next time you are bored or want to get a walk outside, check out the new Geneva Megaplex shopping center!
