East Coast Subs is truly one of a kind. There is only one location in Utah, which is the city of Murray. It may be a drive from Provo, but it is totally worth it! Imagine Subway, Firehouse Subs, or Quiznos, and then triple that, and that is East Coast Subs.

East Coast Subs is hard to find at first, and I only knew about it because my family is family friends with the owner. It is family run by a family who moved to Utah from Romania several years ago. The owners name is Ray and he and his wife opened East Coast many years ago. His sons now work at the restaurant as well.

East Coast is found coming off of state street and is tucked behind the big Fantasy Bridal. Make sure to use your GPS or you might miss it!

One reason I really love East Coast is for the decorations. When you walk into East Coast, it looks like you are actually on the coast. There are several images of light houses, beaches, and ship parts around the small restaurant. Even the logo is a fancy lighthouse with rope and a steering wheel. Ray typically greets me every time I walk in and will ask about my family because my family is very close friends. But its not just my family, anyone else that walks in typically knows Ray as well and it is cool to see how close Ray is to his customers. I guarantee when you go for your first time, Ray will get to know you and remember you in the future when you come back.

I also love East Coast for their food. I don’t love spicy, but my family does, and East Coast has a perfect balance of food for everyone. I have always loved the turkey sandwich and get that every time I go to East Coast Subs. There is something about it that is different from any other sandwich place I go. My family all love getting the Philly cheese-steaks or spicy pepper sandwiches. There are so many different options, it is hard to go wrong. But, don’t forget to order fries or onion rings to go with your meal! I love the onion rings more than the fries, but they are the best I have had yet and any restaurant in Utah. East Coast home makes their fry sauce and it is super yummy with onion rings or fry sauce. My family typically orders a large onion ring and large fries to share amongst everyone, because they are so good!

East Coast also offers catering and party sized sandwiches. If you plan to host a huge Christmas party, wedding, business meeting, or just hang out with friends, definitely order the massive 10 foot sandwich from East Coast. You can order several different types of sandwiches on the one giant 10 footer for everyone to enjoy or make it just one huge sandwich. Sometimes, you can watch the sandwich being made, and it is pretty cool to see bread that long.

I highly recommend East Coast for anyone, and it is kid friendly with kid sized sandwiches or chicken nuggets available.
