Crazy Daisy Boutique

The Crazy Daisy Boutique was an event I found just walking around near the Dickens Festival. It is in the Mountain America Exposition Center in Sandy, Utah. The event is entirely free admission and has a similar layout to the Dickens Festival. You can’t miss it, the bright pink sign proudly stands in front of the door entrance.

Warning for all men, this event is very girly and pink. In fact, I was overwhelmed by pink when I first walked in. But, the Crazy Daisy Boutique is still enjoyable to walk around and see what new products are being developed and created by local artisans in Utah.

Lucky for families, there are a few trampolines that line the exposition centers border where kids can go jump and get some energy out while mom shops. There are also a few toy areas where kids can play with the toys on display and convince their parents that they want one.

This boutique experience is focused almost entirely on things for women. Lots of dresses, skirts, shirts, baby clothes, and dance clothes fill the center parts of the aisles. There are occasional clothing items for men, but they are hard to find. I was most impressed with the new yoga style pants that a certain artisan was displaying. It was almost like pajama yoga pants and you could choose custom designs to be made right in front of you.

Another really cool and interesting, but different product was the “custom unicorn.” Choose a headband and any sort of horn to make your own unicorn head piece. There were several options to choose from including glow horns, soft horns, sparkly horns, bouncy horns, and solid color horns. My favorite was the icicle glow horn.

There are several areas to get food including ice cream, cakes, fudge, popcorn, cookies, and cake pops. All are homemade and from the hands of the local artisans. Several Christmas decorations such as ornaments, mini trees, special wood designs, fancy rugs, embroidered fabrics, and mini nativities were also for purchase. Another unique product was the castle/lego like nativities. You could build your own nativity scene and have it specialized through legos, castles, towers, or how the original nativity is. You could also choose between animals reenacting the nativity or normal dolls. All were for a reasonable price and were homemade.

Every boutique event has to include candles and lotions! These were not to be missed and

believe or not, they are homemade. Some of the candles, you could make for yourself, choosing the scent to include, the color, the container, and the shape or the candle. This a very unique gift to purchase for family and friends. The lotions were not so unique, except for all of the different scents and colors there were to choose from.

The Crazy Daisy Boutique is a special shopping event that makes it easier for families to find gifts for mothers, daughters, aunts, grandmas, neighbors and friends that they are sure to like, while also entertaining young kids.
